Yoohoo

Well this is strange, there's actually a purpose to blogging now LOL

Just a question so we can get properly started, would you guys rather focus on:

a.  a particular module
b. area of study
c.exam techniques and all that fluff

That's all.

  1. I say let's do belonging (as it's the core) then each of the modules. Essay writing is something people need to work on for themselves by pestering the teachers and handing in responses. I think it'd be far more preferable (and realistic) if we just exchange ideas to enhance our understanding of our texts and making our views SEEM far more perceptive and insightful.

  3. TL;DR - reinforcing the ideas behind this page, SUPPLEMENTING CONTENT and BRIGHT IDEAS

If I still haven't bought anyone on this - it's simple. Your writing style by now is pretty much how you think by nature. It's a HABIT that YOU have to change, and that can only be done through 'trial and error' (i.e. PRACTICE). We can't really fix that here, only you can. It's NOT a quick-fix situation (I called it a habit for a reason).
Your perceptions however can be changed in mere instances - they're REALIZATIONS, NOT habits. (e.g. think of those situations you go "OHHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT'S WHAT THEY MEANT").

So why cant we make you do it? Why the teachers?
Sure lots of these posts have come off as condescending (even now), but let's face it. A teacher is a trained professional. They're going to be better at drilling in the basics (this doesn't go to say you're doing all the work to get yourself to the standard YOU WANT). We're students just like you. We're simply here to SUPPLEMENT your learning with unprofessional help. We're not perfect. The content on this page could be entirely ignorant and superficial, but you take the risk to listen to it. Essentially, I see this page as a juggle between what you think seems logically deduced and what may seem a little too far-fetchedd - hence, why I created the whole "lego" metaphor (yeah, I wrote that aggressive introduction). You take what WORKS for YOU.

Sorry if I've come off as a bit of a cunt, but yeah.
